In this episode Malcolm and Daren discuss data centre design, covering the key building blocks required to deliver a modular and scalable solution.

The design topics covered throughout the discussion include the trusted, semi-trusted and untrusted zones of the data centre, design drivers and some scenarios relating to traffic flows to / from applications and services from the WAN and internet.  

Consequences of stateful devices in the failover path are also covered with some suggestions on how issues can be alleviated to avoid application outages.
